Orientation Day Three: FINALE!!!

The programmes for the Friday morning were rather boring..

First, we had Chapel at the Cultural Centre, and they made it compulsory for everyone to attend, except Muslims.. Quite unfair it can be said, because they said they were never gonna make people convert. They talked about the reason behind celebrating Christmas - for the whole morning! But the preacher is rather, er, humorous i guess? He's from England and he started off talking about himself living in Liverpool, then he dragged on to talking about Everton and Liverpool.. I don't see the relation, but well, he kept shifting our attention to other things rather than the preaching itself!

Then from 8.30 to 10am, we were back to class to register for our subject combinations.. Yu Chuan is the only guy choosing Computing! I shoulda chose that to try out computing.. Maybe I shall crash course.. haha.. But as expected, most people chose the 3S1 combi - H2 maths, H2 chem, H2 phy, H1 econs. So did I. But for the first couple of months we're just gonna crash course.. haha..

From 10 onwards till about 12, we were painting glasses for the Councillors to sell..
My painting sucks, but Kumar insisted on me painting the glass.. omg.. he sure knows how to shirk responsibility. Wtf. So I just wanted to complete the god-damn thing, and the end products is, er, atrocious. Then we had our OG photo taken! And it was used for the orientation finale slide show! A picturesque photo indeed! From a nice angle at the top! I want that picture too!

Btw,
Glass-Selling Details:
27 January (Saturday)
IMM - Sky Garden Level 3

Maybe we should go there on that day as an OG and go support Wei Qi! =)

After that was stage games, the councillors set up very nice games for us! Although I didn't play, it was entertaining! They had this blind-fold dance which I felt was a nice idea.. Then they left the person
all alone on the stage.. Haha.. Other games include picking the chocolate bar from the mess in a huge box, and The Price is Right! Can vaguely remember the other games, but it was still enjoyable!

We moved on to the final Gathering, where we finalised all our cheers, and decided on the 10 cheer leaders.. I'm one of them! So I had to shout and shout.. Till I lost my voice for the Finale!
Shoulda kept silent! =/

Anyways, after the gathering, we went on to prepare for the identity and mascott outfit.. but our group had nth to do.. so we just helped out with the others. but it was slack too.. in the end our group went to play squirrel and tree game at the basketball court.. And the mcdonald's game again! ka ling kept askin' everyone to play.. but well, at least it kept us occupied till the finale! lols..

I was expecting a camp fire or smth for the finale, but it turned out to be everything in the Cultural Centre.. AIR CON ROOM! =) after the mascott and indentity, it was the cheering competition.. Tazulla went first, and ours was the shortest cheer.. So obviously we lost the cheer competition! But for consollation, at least we won the games competition and the glass painting category!

Finale passed by very fast indeed, and then we moved on to 'disco partying'. Actually the band that came to perform sucked, including the singer and guitarists as well, but everyone was so high! for no apparent reason whatsoever! the ambience and atmosphere was there, and yu chuan, me, rui zhe, jingnan, wan ting and especially wai sum got very high! kept jumping around till I ran out of breathe.. Kept coughing.. but at least it shows that everyone sure knows how to enjoy themselves! seems like quite a jc i'm joining..! =)

once the concert ended, we all went macdonalds to eat.. About half the OG went, except for Rei, Jothi, Arun, Kumar, Ahjid and the others.. But almost everyone actively involved in the orientation was there! we wanted to call wei qi to join us too, but she was locked in school, and had to give it a pass.. but nonetheless, we still took many pictures and talked about a lot of things till it was about 11 and time to go home! a day just passed in a flash, but as i recount all the events that happened, i'd reckon this orientation has been an enjoyable one.. At least now I know quite a few ppl in the school!

Now, I really look forward to staying in sajc.. Until I see what happens next in the next couple of months. =)
